About the Certification
The Associate certification indicates a foundational knowledge of NCPI in the Data Center. Associates demonstrate a base level proficiency in the elements of: cooling, power, racks, cabling, fire protection, management and physical security. Associates possess the basic knowledge necessary to participate on teams that design or upgrade the NCPI layer of the Data Center.
In an effort to provide the industry with standards for measuring competency in the core elements of a data center, Data Center University is proud to offer the Associate level certification, the global standard for foundational knowledge in data center design, build and operations.
Why the Data Center University Associate Certification?
Industry research indicates that by the year 2015, the talent pool of qualified senior-level technical and management data center professionals will shrink by 45 percent. The lack of professional talent has created a looming skill shortage in the industry and is one of the impediments to successful data center management.
The demand for skilled data center professionals continues to grow and the DCU Associate Certification is the first step to start or enhance your career as a data center professional.
Proper training and certification can significantly increase productivity and proficiency because certified professionals have the knowledge to successfully overcome obstacles faced in data center design, build and operations.
The DCU Associate Certification is an international, vendor-neutral credential that recognizes a professional´s ability to participate on a team that designs, builds and operates a data center.
